Documents
Be sure to set the document size to the actual finished size of the project. For pages that bleed, make sure all bleeds extend at least an eighth of an inch beyond the edge of the finished document.
Fonts
Please be certain to provide both printer and screen fonts. We do have a large library of fonts, and are able to substitute for missing fonts. We may have a different version of the font you are using, which may cause the text to reflow. If fonts are missing we may not be able to proceed with your job, which may delay your project's completion date.
Support Files
Include all image and graphic files imported into your document. Graphics that are missing will output with the image preview which is low resolution.
When scanning or preparing images, it is important to have adequate resolution for your images. Setting the final output resolution to 300 dpi (dots per inch) will ensure desired results when printed.
Colors
Be sure to convert all images from RGB to CMYK. Your images may print with undesirable results if you neglect to convert images.
Some Pantone colors and RGB color are outside of the CMYK color spectrum and appear different when printed as process color. View your screen after conversion for a rough idea of how that color will appear. For an exact determination, view a Pantone color conversion guide.
Hard Copy It is always useful to have a mock-up as a guide for printing. A PDF file or even a laser proof can serve as a rough guide.
